The Morgan Arts Council offers dynamic arts programming that brings creativity to life across music, theater, and the visual arts. Our programs take place throughout the year at the Ice House and in the community, offering meaningful opportunities for artists, audiences, students, and families to engage with the arts.

πΆ MAC Summer Concert Series
Live music is a cornerstone of MAC programming, filling Berkeley Springs with sound, energy, and community connection throughout the summer season.
Friday Night Concerts
Enjoy free performances on the 2nd and 4th Fridays in June, July & August, featuring regional and touring musicians in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. These concerts highlight a wide range of genres and are open to all.
Saturday Concerts in the Park
Held in the beautiful Berkeley Springs State Park, this summer series features live outdoor performances spanning folk, jazz, blues, classical, and more. Put your feet in the springs, dance in the park, and listen to great music!

π Ice House Theater Project
The Ice House Theater Project is MACβs community-based theater program, dedicated to producing high-quality, accessible performing arts experiences.
Each year, the program presents four full theatrical productions, offering opportunities for actors, directors, designers, and volunteers of all experience levels.
Programming includes:

- π Skill-building and creative development opportunities
- π An annual reunion celebration for participants and supporters

Gallery Exhibitions
Our rotating exhibitions feature contemporary work across a wide range of media, with new shows regularly installed in our gallery spaces at the Ice House. MAC offers seven shows yearly, traditional favorites include March’s Youth Art Month, the Summer’s Annual Quilt Show, and the Holiday Show.
Solo Exhibitions
Dedicated gallery spaces on the first and second hallway galleries highlight individual artists and immersive bodies of work, offering deeper insight into artistic practice and vision.

Demos, Lectures & Educational Programs
Throughout the year, MAC hosts artist demonstrations, talks, and public programs that provide hands-on learning and insight into creative processes. MAC also offers a make-and-take art series called MACreate. Classes are typically offered twice a month, ranging from different art forms.

A beloved spring tradition, Bringing in the May transforms the Berkeley Springs State Park into a whimsical celebration of nature, creativity, and community imagination.
This family-friendly festival features live music, performances, artisan vendors, and a joyful atmosphere where guests of all ages are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the seasonβoften with a touch of fairy magic.

π Berkeley Springs Art Book Fair
Held at the Ice House in June, the Berkeley Springs Art Book Fair celebrates independent publishing, printmaking, and experimental book arts.
Visitors can explore and purchase zines, artist books, comics, risograph prints, handmade paper, collage work, and moreβall directly from artists and creators.

π¨ Art Trail + Paw Paw Pop-Up
As part of the C&O Canal Towns Art Trail+, MAC partners with the Town of Paw Paw to host a one-day art pop-up event featuring local and regional artists that helps celebrate Art Month in Morgan County over the mountain.
Held in Paw Paw, this event highlights handmade work across a variety of mediums and brings creative energy directly into the community.

π Dance & Movement Classes
Offered at the Ice House throughout the year, Dance & Movement classes invite participants of all ages and experience levels to explore expression through the body.
These classes focus on creativity, physical awareness, rhythm, and joy of movement in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
