Memory and Memorial quilts — including quilts made from shirts, ties, baby clothes and tee shirts — are one of the hottest trends in textile design. Professional quilters Annette McManigle and Jenni Spielman have been transforming cloth and artifacts into stunning memorial quilts for several years and in this session they will describe their creative process and provide tips for designing, assembling and displaying memorial quilts. They will also provide some guidelines for pricing memory quilts. Whether you are planning to commission a memory quilt or make one yourself, this session will provide you with information you need to get started.
Annette and Jenni will be available for one-on-one consultation after the class, so feel free to bring your sketches or works in progress to discuss with them.
ONLINE registration closes at noon on Tues., April 26. Please call 304-258-2300 to register after this time.
