In this beginner-friendly self-portrait workshop, participants will explore how art can be used as a tool for self-reflection, storytelling, and creative expression. Through guided prompts and accessible drawing techniques, students will create a unique self-portrait that goes beyond physical appearance, incorporating personal experiences, memories, values, and symbols that represent who they are.

Inspired by CJ Davis’s creative practice of exploring identity, heritage, healing, and lived experience through art, this workshop encourages participants to embrace their creativity, reflect on their personal journeys, and discover new ways to tell their stories through visual art.
