The Morgan Arts Council offers free workshops throughout the year, giving our community opportunities to learn from artists, performers, educators, and other creative people—without the cost of a traditional class.

🎭 THEATER
Learn what happens onstage and behind the scenes.
Explore acting, theater terminology, auditioning, character development, stagecraft, and everything that goes into bringing a production to life.
You don’t have to be an actor to be part of theater.
👩🎨 POETRY – Put it into words.
Maybe you’ve been writing poems for years. Maybe you’ve never written one. Maybe you have a notebook full of thoughts you’ve never shared with anyone. Maybe you just like listening to someone find exactly the right words. Through free poetry workshops, open mics, readings, and creative gatherings, MAC creates opportunities for people to explore poetry as a way to write, listen, perform, connect, and express themselves.
You don’t need to call yourself a poet. You just need something to say.
WHY FREE?
Because access matters.
We believe cost shouldn’t be the reason someone can’t experience the arts. Free workshops are one of the ways MAC creates opportunities for people to participate, experiment, learn, and connect with others in our community.

- You don’t have to already know how to do it.
- You just have to show up.
Many of our free workshops are made possible through the generosity of donors, sponsors, teaching artists, volunteers, and community partners who believe that everyone should have access to creative experiences.
