May 31, 2024 – FeelFree w/ Special Guest Lady Hatchet & Jade

Bringing a smooth vibe with strong guitar and horn lines, their sound amps up any mood. It warms you up on cold days, transports you to another place, and makes you want to groove out. Seeing FeelFree live is a can’t-miss.” (District Fray, July 2021) Sounds to help you FeelFree. Formed in 2010 in Alexandria, VA, on the outskirts of Washington D.C., award-winning band FeelFree fuses explosive horn lines, tasteful guitar, and honest songwriting for a high-energy live show.

June 14, 2024 – Promising Leith w/ Special Guest Grit & Grace

Promising Leith is a tribute to Krissy’s mom – Sandra Leith – a promise to keep the name “Leith” alive as a family treasure and to foster her love of music across generations. The band is led by soulful vocalist, Krissy Richards, accompanied by rocking lead guitarist, Lawrence Beck and Chris Sprankle playing blues harmonica. The rhythm section is driven home by Joel Elvey on guitar, Grant Smith on bass and Jamie Spiker on drums. Their sound bridges genres with covers of musicians including Lita Ford, The White Stripes, Foghat, Dorothy, Grace Potter, Halestorm, The Beatles, The Doors, Chris Stapleton,  & Led Zeppelin.

June 28, 2024 – Specialists

Specialists is a NYC dance-rock collective formed in 2017. The group is led by songwriters Billy Harden (guitar and vocals) and Mikey Rotunno (bass and vocals). Their signature funky sound is highlighted by the duo’s split lead vocal duties, intricate musicianship, and pop arrangement sensibilities. The band’s current lineup capitalizes on their musicianship and infectious energy to create an unforgettable and electric live performance. The band’s newest full-length record, Hole in the Wall, emotively presents the band’s term, Dance-Rock.

July 12, 2024 – Marv Ashby & High Octane

From the West Virginia Panhandle comes that hard-driving ‘no holds barred’ bluegrass music courtesy of Marv Ashby and the High Octane band. Marv is joined by some of the region’s finest entertainers, delivering a quality and fast-moving show. Both traditional and contemporary bluegrass genres are showcased during High Octane performances.

July 26, 2024 – Proverbs Rootz Rock Reggae

Returning to the Charlotte’s Cafe Garden Stage! Proverbs is a positive, unique, rootz reggae band utilizing strong lyrical content and musical expression to uplift Rasta Livity.  Specializing in socially conscious roots, the band endeavors to promote Ancient Wisdom through the art of music, thereby spreading the spiritual message of JAH RAS TAFARI through word, power, and sound.  Proverbs Reggae Band offers fans and true music connoisseurs of all social, economic, and racial backgrounds a brand of MUSICAL POETRY, ROOTZ RASTA STYLE.

August 9, 2024 – Gilbert Lee & The Ghost on the Radio

A reviewer for HuffPost (2017) described Gilbert’s voice as “wonderfully clear and rich… vaguely reminiscent of Paul Simon’s, but brighter and more lavish,” while the Music Street Journal (2018) described the versatility of his songwriting, noting similarities to a wide range of classic artists from The Beatles to Sade. Similarly, the band is noted for its engaging, dynamic live performances, which include multi-instrumentalists Derek Shank (drums, guitar, organ, etc.) & Hanna Livingston (fiddle, trumpet) along with bassist Tom Fair.

August 23, 2024 – Lua Flora

The electrifying passion and introspective lyrics of songwriter Evan Button, meet a mesmerizing blend of Caribbean, Eastern, and American music to create a previously undefined genre; “Beach Folk.” This cultural phenomenon lends itself to easy listening from the perfect barrels of the Pacific Ocean to the hollers of Appalachia.

Saturday Concerts in the Park has been a program of the Morgan Arts Council in Berkeley Springs State Park since 1987. Concerts start at 5:30 PM.

 

July 6, 2024 – Waylon Thibodeaux 

Waylon Thibodeaux, think Cajun, but not too traditional, Zydeco with a pinch of New Orleans’ sound, a small pinch of South Louisiana “Swamp Pop,” a taste of Country and a little Rock n’ Roll that’s sure to get you on your feet & dancing!

 

July 13, 2024 – Corey Harris Band

Corey Harris is a powerful singer who has carved out his own niche in blues, adding influences from reggae, soul, rock, and West African music. He is also a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and band leader. He has appeared at venues throughout North America, Europe, Brazil, the Caribbean, West Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

 

 

July 20, 2024 – Eden Brent

Blues lady Eden Brent is a modern-day piano-pounding, a juke-joint-hollering powerhouse of American music. A legendary performer and southern songwriter, she spent the first two decades of her career under the tutelage of Abie “Boogaloo” Ames, before winning the Blues Foundation’s Blues Challenge and bouncing onto the international scene. Since then, she has landed steady honors, three Blues Music Awards among them.

 

 

July 27, 2024 – Tony Holiday

There’s something about Tony Holiday that draws people together. In fact, his community has been at the core of Holiday’s young career from the beginning. Since relocating from Salt Lake City to Memphis in 2017, Holiday has been at the center of a soul blues revival in Memphis, anchored by a contingent of young, savvy well-schooled musicians with a “family-like” attitude and a strong belief in one another. Mentored by past legends, Holiday and this loose Memphis collective are building on the city’s rich traditions and carrying them forward.

August 3, 2024 – Jonathan Scales Fourchestra

Jonathan Scales Fourchestra, Steelpan Jazz, and Bela Fleck know a thing or two about establishing an identity in the jazz world while playing an unusual instrument. So it makes sense that the banjo player would bond with a young jazz musician whose specialty is the steel pan.

 

 

August 10, 2024 – The Blue Rhythm Boys

The Blue Rhythm Boys, Hot Jazz/Hokum & Country Blues, Blending the blues of Mississippi John Hurt with the “hot club” swing of Django Reinhardt, The Blue Rhythm Boys have delighted audiences with their tight vocals and hot guitar playing since 1997.

 

August 17, 2024 – Kelly Bell Band

Kelly Bell Band, Phat Blues, Blues Revue Magazine describes the Kelly Bell Band (KBB) as “Among the most genre-expanding acts on today’s blues scene.
