Information for Summer Camps for Summer 2025!

Youth Theater Camp (2 weeks) June 9 – 13 & 16 – 20
M-F from 9 AM – 4 PM for ages 8-14
M-F from 9 AM-noon for ages 5-7
Performances are Friday, June 20th at 7 PM and Saturday, June 21st at 2 PM
The two camps are the same; the younger campers go home at lunch

Cost: $330 full day, $165 half day
Join Directors Margi Griffiths and Brice Williams in producing The Adventures of Captain Starblaster. Every camper will learn acting, singing, and dancing and have an onstage part in the final production.

The Adventures of Captain Starblaster
Ten thousand years in the future, the galaxy stands in peril.  Hostile aliens, sinister thugs, and strange forces seem to lurk at every turn.  But one man stands between the galaxy and those who would do it harm.  That man is…  Captain Starblaster, defender of the galaxy!

Will Captain Starblaster and his trusty sidekick (and his trusty sidekick’s trusty sidekick and his fearless crew) manage to thwart the evil plans of Colonel Chaos and his goons?  Will the galaxy be saved?  Will there be enough Galaxy Flakes cereal for everyone?

Cadence Kids Music Camp, June 23 – June 27
M-Thurs. from 1 PM to 4 PM
Ice House – Movement Studio
for ages 6-10

Please make sure all the wee campers are potty trained
Elevate your child’s musical talents at Cadence Kids Music Camp! Designed for children ages 6-10, this camp offers a more advanced exploration of vocal music, focusing on developing stronger singing techniques, musical expression, and an understanding of core musical concepts. Through group singing, voice exercises, and performance practice, campers will refine their skills while building confidence and stage presence. The camp culminates in a dynamic showcase on the final day, where campers will have the opportunity to perform their favorite songs for family and friends. Join us for a fun and enriching experience that will inspire a lifelong passion for music!

Little Broadway Stars Music Camp, June 30 – July 3
M-Thurs. from 1 PM to 4 PM

for ages 3 – 5

Spark your child’s love for music at Little Broadway Stars Music Camp! Tailored for children ages 3-5, this camp offers a fun and interactive introduction to vocal music, with a focus on basic musical concepts like rhythm and melody. Through singing, games, and creative activities, young campers will develop their musical ear and build a love of music while exploring the magic of performance. The camp culminates in a charming showcase on the final day, where children will shine and share music from the beloved musical The Sound of Music. Join us and help your little one discover the joy of music, all while creating memories that will last a lifetime!

Animation Camp, July 7 – 11
M-F from 9 AM – 3 PM
Ice House – Digital Media Center
for ages 11-17

Put your imagination into motion! Whether it’s a motion picture or a meme, animation makes the impossible real. Over ten days, students will learn history, process, and technique. With storyboards, voiceovers, and music, teens will execute their own short animations frame-by-frame using clay, hand-drawn artwork, and photography.

Puppet Friends Camp, July 14 – 18
M-F from 9 AM – 3 PM
Ice House – Wet Classroom
for ages 7 – 17

We’re going to be making friends… LITERALLY! If you have a hand and a sock you’ll never be bored because your little fabric buddy will always be within arm’s reach to listen to your dreams. During this week-long camp, campers will design and build their own hand puppet. They’ll learn to use exaggerated movements and silly voices to bring a pile of rags and googly eyes to life on the stage. A performance showcase will be on the last day of camp for family and friends.
