This hilarious and poignant play is set in a communal residence where four mentally handicapped men reside. Norman, who works in a doughnut shop and is unable to resist the lure of the sweet pastries, takes great pride in the huge bundle of keys he wears on his belt. Lucien P. Smith adores his books but with the mentality of a four-year-old, he is unable to read and comprehend the weighty volumes he lugs about. Barry, a brilliant schizophrenic, fancies himself a golf pro but cannot retain a single student. Arnold is a hyperactive, compulsive chatterer who suffers from a persecution complex. These four live under the supervision of a young social worker named Jack. While very attached to these men, it is very clear that something has to change.

The Dixie Swim Club

Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives. The Dixie Swim Club focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of thirty-three years. Admission: $10, $8 MAC Members, $5 Students. Thursday, June 6th “Pay what you can” donations.
