The Morgan Arts Council rents space in the Ice House for community and private events. Located in the heart of Berkeley Springs, the Ice House has a unique space for events, festivals, meetings, workshops, and classes. The former cold storage facility for apples and tomatoes has been renovated and is ADA-accessible. Rotating gallery shows provide a changing backdrop to your event.
Room rental rates start at $25 an hour, with special rates available for long-term rentals and nonprofit organizations. The Ice House is Wi-Fi-friendly. AV equipment is available for rent at an additional fee. A list of caterers and event support professionals is available. Please contact Eddy at 304-258-2300 for more information.
Event Space
The event space is used for large meetings (up to 80 seated), festivals (20 6-foot vendor tables), black box theater productions (up to 80 seated), and receptions (up to 100 standing). A break room is available for preparation.
Classrooms
On the first floor, a wet classroom with three sinks (seats up to 25) is available for art classes and meetings.
A second wet classroom with three sinks on the upper floor (seats up to 15) also doubles as a green room with mirrors and lighting for makeup.
Movement Studio
The movement studio offers flooring suitable for dance, yoga, and fitness activities (up to 17 people).
Community Room
This carpeted room is perfect for meetings, workshops, and seminars (up to 30 people).
With MAC-sponsored programs, events, and classes at the Ice House, our schedule is booked months in advance, so ample notice allows us the best opportunity to accommodate your needs.
