The Morgan Arts Council’s Ice House Theater Project Presents
Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward on May 26-28 & June 1-4
This much-revived classic comedy directed by Margi Griffiths concerns fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine played by Chuck Walker, who has remarried but finds himself haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, Elvira played by Jennifer Teeter. Clever, insistent and well aware of Charles’ shortcomings, Elvira is called up by a visiting “happy medium,” the eccentric and flighty Madame Arcati played by Abbie Brown. As everyone’s personalities clash, Charles’ current wife, Ruth played by Victoria Wakelin attempts to get Madame Arcati to return Elvira to the other world so “blithe spirits” won’t haunt the hapless Charles into perpetuity.
Show times are May 26, 27, June 1, 2, 3 @ 7pm & May 28 & June 4 @ 2pm. Tickets are $15 Adult, $13 MAC Member, $8 Student. Thursday June 1 is a special pay what you can night.
Reservations can be made here (https://morganac.booktix.com/), tickets can also be purchased at the door.
“Blithe Spirit” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com and with financial assistance from the WV Department of Arts, Culture and history, the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts, and local hotel/motel ta
